Evolving energy

The bill consists of the following two parts:

  • Competitive &
  • Regulated. 

The tariffs of the competitive part are different amongst the suppliers. On the other hand, regulated tariffs are common to all Energy Suppliers and are applied in addition to the competitive charges, in the monthly bill.

Competitive Charges and Tariffs

Energy chargeThe cost of production of the supplied electricity. EVERGY, by evaluating the consumption characteristics of the Customer's installation and the services agreed between EVERGY and the customer in the context of the negotiations between them, may offer a discount on the Electricity Supply charges.
Meter ReadingThe cost of recording the meter reading.
Supply charge The cost of providing electricity supply services by EVERGY to its customers.

Regulated Charges and Tariffs

Network Charge The cost of using the Transmission & Distribution networks and the cost of the Cyprus Transmission System Operator (TSO). Charge per energy unit provided, kilowatt-hour (kWh).
Ancillary ServicesThe cost for the safety and uninterrupted operation of the electricity system. Charge per energy unit provided, kilowatt-hour (kWh).
Public Service
Obligation
The PSO fee is applied in accordance with the relevant legislation, in accordance with which the Minister of Energy exercised his right in consultation with CERA to impose on suppliers of electricity a lower charge per unit to specific categories of vulnerable consumers. Charge per energy unit provided, kilowatt-hour (kWh).
RES & ES FundA special fee that EVERGY collects and remits to the Fund for Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Energy Saving (ES) of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry. Charge per energy unit provided, kilowatt-hour (kWh).
Occasional Price
Discount
It applies to Competitive Charges, following a relevant decision of CERA for a general reduction in the price of electricity.
Value Added Tax (VAT)VAT (19%) is levied on all charges, competitive and regulated, except for the special fee for the RES & ES Fund.
